The UK’s National Oceanography Center in Southampton is planning to launch a new AUV which will explore undersea volcanoes in the Cayman Trough up to 20,000 feet deep. It will run only for a distance of only to be replace by lithium polymer battery packs but it won’t last very long and without human supervision it won’t be able to run on its own. These are the defects which it is having so UK’s National Oceanography Center should try to do something about it
